Linear LensLinear issues, right in your editor

Make issue IDs like ENG-123 clickable, hoverable and editable in VS Code and Cursor. It links the tickets you already have; it never creates tickets from your TODOs.

Linear Lens

Try the scanner

This runs the extension's own reference scanner (src/parser.ts) in your browser. Edit the text. Every reference links and hovers; only references bound to a TODO, FIXME, BUG, HACK marker or an unchecked task become Problems. Live hover cards need your Linear account, so they are not part of this demo.

Input
What Linear Lens sees
// TODO: ENG-123 retry with backoff when the queue is full
// Fixed in ENG-98, see https://linear.app/acme/issue/ENG-77/flaky-test
function drain() {
  // FIXME ENG-124 handle null user
  const debug = true; // not a BUG marker: "debug" is a whole word check
}

Install

Linear Lens 0.1.0 is published on Open VSX, the registry used by Cursor, VSCodium and other VS Code forks. Open the Extensions view and search for Linear Lens (publisher alliecatowo). It is not on the Visual Studio Marketplace, and there are no GitHub releases yet.

In stock VS Code, download the .vsix from the Open VSX page and run Extensions: Install from VSIX. To build it yourself:

pnpm install
pnpm build
pnpm package    # produces linear-lens-<version>.vsix

Then run Linear Lens: Configure Workspace Slug, and see Authentication for rich hovers. The full docs are under Guide and Settings.
